Mrs. Neese graduated from Alabama Southern with a degree in Business Technology. Before serving in a full-time role, she was an active substitute teacher at CHCA. She and her husband Darryl have two daughters who attend CHCA. Mattie is in 10th grade and Macie is in 8th grade. She and her family are members of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Neese enjoys entertaining, decorating, and boating with her family.

Mrs. Mitzi Wiggins was born and raised in Mobile, AL. She graduated from Murphy High School in 2000 where she played softball and volleyball all four years. She earned numerous awards in softball which led to an athletic scholarship to Springhill College in Mobile. Mrs. Wiggins completed her degree at the University of South Alabama. She graduated from USA in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminal Justice and minored in Sociology. Mrs. Wiggins is married to Spencer Wiggins, and they have four children who attend CHCA: Caden (9th), Emerson (6th), Harper (4th), and Charlotte (K5). They have all attended CHCA since K5. The Wiggins family also attends Cottage Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Angel Bouler moved from the EEC to K2 as a Teachers' Assistant four years ago to become a K2 teacher. She has worked with children for about 12 years. Mrs. Bouler will soon celebrate 5 years of marriage with her husband Cliff. Together they share a three-year-old son who attends the EEC. She is excited to continue at CHCA in the preschool department and see what God has in store for her.

Olivia Mayfield is originally from LaGrange, Georgia. She moved to Auburn to attend college after she graduated from Troup County High School. She met her husband in 2005 and soon married and moved to Mobile for him to start his teaching and coaching career. She chose to become a stay-at-home wife and mother after having the first of their five children. She now has four wonderful boys and a sweet baby girl that has completed her family. They started attending Cottage Hill Baptist Church in 2015 and later became official church members. She started homeschooling her four younger children in 2019 and found that she has a passion for watching children learn and grow in life and with their faith in the Lord. She is excited to start her journey into teaching as part of the Cottage Hill Christian Academy family. She can not wait to be able to share her love, knowledge, and passion for children and to watch them grow in every aspect of their lives. Her family can usually be found cheering on the Warrior team and her husband, Coach Mayfield, from behind home plate on the baseball fields, or from in the stands under the lights on Friday night high school football games.

Mrs. Ashley is one of our K2 teachers here at CHCA. She is married to her husband Casey and has one daughter named Willow Grace. Mobile is her home and she has been a part of our Cottage Hill family for over 17 years. Her family started attending CHBC when she was 14 years old. During her middle school and high school years, Mrs. Ashley volunteered with Sunday school classes as well as VBS every summer. Before becoming a preschool teacher, Mrs. Ashley worked in our extended care program as well as our Mom’s Day Out Program for more than 4 years. It was then that she found her passion for working with children, and she knew it was something she wanted to make into a career. She will be starting her 10th year as a K2 teacher with CHCA this fall, and she is so excited for this new school year to begin and for all the new faces she will get to greet!

Mrs. Torchia has worked for 7 years as a 3-year-old teacher for Cottage Hill Baptist Church’s Mother’s Day out program. She then moved on to the Cottage Hill Christian Academy’s Early Education Center, where she worked in a classroom for three years, then served as the Assistant Director for three years. Mrs. Torchia is excited to now be a part of Cottage Hill Christian Academy’s preschool department and to be back in the classroom! She has stated that it has been a joy being a part of the Cottage Hill Family for the past 16 years and she is looking forward to many more exciting years of loving on children, guiding and teaching them, and being a small part of the plan that God has for their lives!
Mrs. Torchia has been married for 32 years and has three children, ages 30, 26, and 22, and one granddaughter!

Mrs. Alford has been working with children at Cottage Hill Christian Academy, for a short time now, but it has become a new passion for her. She looks forward to working every day and seeing the children's faces when they learn something she has taught them. Mrs. Alford finds it very rewarding. For her, it will also be a rewarding experience to watch them grow throughout the years at Cottage Hill Christian Academy.
Mrs. Alford and her husband, Andrew have a son who is going into second grade and just recently welcomed their 2nd son into the family!


Mrs. Craig is in her eighth year teaching K2 at CHCA. She loves preschool and has so much fun helping them learn, grow, and also teaching them about Jesus! Mrs. Craig received her bachelor's in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University. She has been married to her husband for almost twenty years and they have a daughter in sixth grade here at CHCA.

Mrs. Patty is in her 14th year teaching preschool. She has been at CHCA for six years teaching K3. She loves teaching preschool and has a lot of fun teaching hands-on. She believes K3 is a fun age as they are eager to learn. Mrs. Brieler has been married to her husband David for 45 years, and they have three daughters and one granddaughter. Her youngest daughter, Anna Marie, is in 11th grade at CHCA and is very active in basketball and soccer. Mrs. Brieler's family attends Dauphin Way Baptist church.

Mrs. Tori LaBombard grew up in Chalmette, Louisiana right outside of New Orleans. She moved to Mobile with her husband in 2005 and has two sons Mason and Tyler. She is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and has been teaching preschool for seven years. In her spare time, Mrs. LaBombard likes to spend time with her family and friends, travel, and go to the beach.

Mrs. Terra Gibson is a K3 teacher at Cottage Hill Christian Academy and has been teaching for 12 years. She loves teaching and sharing the love of Jesus with her students. Mrs. Gibson has been married for 19 years and has three children. Lilly (11th) and Chase (4th) both attend CHCA and her oldest son, Hunter, is a recent graduate.

Mrs. Morley attended the University of Mobile. She has been a teacher for 21 years, teaching middle school history, K4, 2nd grade, and 1st grade, but K4 is her passion. Mrs. Morley has a passion for music and uses it daily in her classroom to enhance the students learning experiences. She is married to Tracey Morley and they have 2 children: Heath Ames, who graduated in 2021 and is currently a sophomore in college, and Grace, who is in the 11th grade. She is the Warrior Mascot, and plays Varsity Basketball and Softball. Mrs. Morley and her family LOVE being a part of the Warrior Family.

Ms. Kim Brinson attained her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and went on to earn her master’s in education degree from Spring Hill College. She then went on to teach Kindergarten in the Mobile County Public School System for twenty-four years. She is happy to be here at CHCA where her son graduated in 2012. Ms. Brinson enjoys teaching in early childhood education and emphasizing learning by doing and providing hands-on opportunities. She wants children to problem-solve and think critically, as well as focus on responsibility and choice. Days in her classroom are often hands-on and include times with music and movement! Ms. Brinson enjoys sharing her love for the LSU Tigers with the children in her classroom.

Mrs. Ching graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating she taught Kindergarten for 14 years and first grade for one year. Mrs. Ching has three sons that also attend Cottage Hill and her husband is a firefighter. She is excited about this new year!

Amber Glass grew up in Greenville, Al, where she was an active participant in the Greenville High schools theater program, cheerleading squad, and scholar’s bowl team. She later attended Lurleen B. Wallace Community College where she was elected president of the student government association. Amber received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Troy University.
Upon graduation, Amber married Caleb Glass and moved to Mobile Alabama. She then began teaching third grade at Cottage Hill Christian Academy. In 2020 she and Caleb welcomed their son Bodhi Cross Glass to the family.

Mrs. Amanda Blount is a Mobile native. She is a graduate of Theodore High School and graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2015 with her bachelors in Elementary Education. Mrs. Blount is going into her sixth year of teaching and fourth year of teaching first grade. She and her husband Carter have a 2-year-old daughter, Audrey Kate, and a puppy named Knox.

Mrs. Paula McDaniel has been a teacher here at CHCA for twenty-three years. She taught K-5 for three years prior to teaching first grade. She will begin her 19th year in first grade this school year. Mrs. McDaniel graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama in May of 1991. She and her husband Kyle have four grown children, a grandson, a granddaughter, and a sweet dog.

Mrs. Margaret Payne grew up in Mobile. She graduated from B.C. Rain High School where she served as president of the student council and as a member of Mobile's Azalea Trail. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of South Alabama and her Master of Science degree from Spring Hill College. Mrs. Payne then earned National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist.
Mrs. Payne attends Dayspring Baptist Church where she teaches the senior adult ladies' Sunday school class.

Mrs. Heather Cubitt is originally from Pearland, TX, and she is a graduate of Texas A&M University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis in reading. She also holds a master’s degree in educational leadership. Mrs. Cubitt has been an educator for more than 20 years, having homeschooled and taught in public schools in Texas and Florida prior to joining the staff at CHCA. She has been at CHCA since 2018. Mrs. Cubitt is married to Cary Cubitt, who also attended CHCA as a child in the 70s and 80s and has two daughters, Alexis (CHCA ‘21) and Ashton (CHCA ‘23).

Mrs. Krissy Hipp has taught at Cottage Hill Christian Academy for ten years. She taught for two years in preschool and the past eight years in 3rd grade. Mrs. Hipp has an Associate's degree in Applied Science with a focus on paralegal studies and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Hipp has two sons, Kyle (CHCA Class of '22) and Max (8th). Mrs. Hipp loves teaching and considers it an honor and blessing to play a significant role in her students' lives and be a part of their success in life.

Ms. Jordan has been teaching for 17 years, with 14 of those years spent at Cottage Hill Christian Academy teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. She also taught for three years in the country of Panama, where she spent most of her childhood. Ms. Jordan has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Language Arts Middle School Endorsement from the University of Mobile. Ms. Jordan enjoys reading and has always found it difficult to put a book down once she has started it. She is excited to help another class of students develop a passion for learning. In addition to reading, Ms. Jordan enjoys baking and spending time with her nephew James.

Mrs. Kayla Parazine is originally from Frisco City, Alabama. She completed her Associate's degree at Alabama Southern Community College where she met her husband, Ryan. The Parazine’s have been married and have lived in Mobile for the past nine years, during which time Kayla has completed her Childhood Education degree from South Alabama. Kayla and her husband Ryan have three beautiful children, Truett (6), Ann Clayton (5), and George Russell (1), and are members of Harbor Community Church where Ryan is the lead pastor. This will be Mrs. Parazine's eighth year teaching and she absolutely L O V E S what she does!

Mrs. Wilkes is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She has her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and is beginning her 13th year teaching at CHCA. She has been happily married to her husband, Jeff, for 21 years. They have two children, Thomas (Class of '22) and Maggie (11th). Both have attended Cottage Hill and have been involved with campus activities and sports. Mrs. Wilkes and her family attend First Baptist Tillman's Corner where they serve in many areas of the church.

Mrs. Elizabeth Bryant joined our team as a second-grade teacher in 2019. Elizabeth taught at East Central in Hurley, Mississippi for 5 years before coming to Cottage Hill. She is a native of Mobile who graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Bryant, her husband Derek, and her son Hudson attend South Coast Church in Mobile. She and her family are so excited to be part of the CHCA family!

Mrs. Mary Katelin Summerlin has a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of South Alabama. She has been teaching at CHCA for 9 years. CHCA has always been home to Mrs. Summerlin as this is where she also attended school. Mrs. Summerlin has a 5-year-old daughter and a newborn son.

Mrs. Chason loves living the life God has called her to with her husband Robby and 4 kids, Riley, Rianna, Zeke, and Xander. Mrs. Chason has a passion for Jesus, music, sports, and kids, and God allows her to minister to people every day using those things. Mrs. Chason has a degree from the University of Mobile in Music with a minor in Physical Education and English. She has been teaching and coaching in private Christian schools in the Mobile area for 21 years, 12 of those being at Cottage Hill.

Mrs. Amber Threadgill is an educator with ten years of experience in the realm of private education. She had the privilege of attending the University of South Alabama for her undergraduate degree, where she participated in the Honors Program as a Whiddon Scholar. As such, she graduated summa cum laude with honors distinction in secondary education and history, having written an undergraduate thesis within the history department. Mrs. Threadgill is a proud Jaguar alumnus!
While at South, Mrs. Threadgill was very active in the music department, participating in several ensemble groups playing the clarinet. She met her husband Kevin Threadgill there, and they were married in 2009. Amber is the proud mom of 3 daughters ages 11, 9, and 5. She also has a dog named Lulu Belle. Mrs. Threadgill and her family are active members of Redemption Church West Campus.

Mrs. Lindsey Lear is originally from Jackson, Alabama. She graduated from Clarke Preparatory School in 2003 and went on to major in English at Auburn University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2008. Mrs. Lear had the opportunity to move back to Grove Hill in 2011 to teach junior high and high school English at her alma mater. While teaching at Clarke Prep, she coached scholar’s bowl and served as the junior varsity cheerleading sponsor. She was also named Teacher of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year. During this time, Mrs. Lear married her husband, Jon, and a year later they welcomed their daughter, Harper.
Mrs. Lear decided to further her education, and with the support of her family, she enrolled in a graduate program at the University of South Alabama. Mrs. Lear plans to earn her Master of Education in the spring of 2023.
Mrs. Lear and her family are thrilled to be a part of the CHCA family. They love the fact that this institution puts faith and family above all else. English and literature are two of Mrs. Lear’s passions, and she is glad to be back in the classroom and help develop young minds to prepare them for the future!

Mrs. Sarah Olsen and her family became part of the CHCA family in 2017. She and her husband, Bob, a professor at the University of Mobile, have 3 children at Cottage Hill, Peter (12th), Ellie(9th), and ZZ (9th). Their oldest daughter, Anna, graduated from CHCA in May of 2021, and she now attends the University of Mobile.
The Olsens moved to Mobile 14 years ago from Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Olsen graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh with degrees in Mathematics and Middle School Education in 1995. She taught in both public and private schools in Raleigh before they moved to Guatemala in 2006 to live and teach at an orphanage for 1.5 years. After briefly returning to Raleigh from Guatemala, they moved here to Mobile.
Mrs. Olsen currently teaches Math and Spanish in the Middle School. She loves working with middle school students because of their fun personalities and eagerness to learn. One of her biggest goals as a math teacher is to get her students to love math and see just how fun and interesting it can be.

Mrs. Quave is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Education with an emphasis on Science and Social Studies. She has been a certified K-8 school teacher in Mississippi as well as a technology trainer for teachers. She is married to Jason and has two children, Aidan and Laurel, who are CHCA students. They attend Grace Community Church. She is passionate about STEM education and encouraging students to develop a love of the science field.


Christian Poché was born in Mobile to parents who encouraged him to always be himself and pursue the places and things that made him feel at home. In High-school, he attended Baker where his community for baseball and community was born. After 2 years of Community College, he transferred to the University of Mobile on a baseball scholarship. While at UM, Christian was a 3-year starter under the late Mike Jacobs and his successor Jon Seymour. On the field, he became a First-Team All-Conference competitor while off the field, he poured himself into community, friends, and opportunities to serve others.
Christian graduated from his undergrad program in History Education in May of 2020. After graduation, he began a master's degree while serving as the Graduate Assistant for the baseball team. He graduated in May of 2022 with a Master's in Leadership and Communication. Christian currently attends Cottage Hill Baptist where he assists in serving with the college ministry.

Ms. Anderson is the art teacher for preschool, elementary and middle school. She is a graduate of the University of Mobile with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Art. She enjoys having the opportunity to share her love for art with her students here at CHCA. Brittney came to Mobile after growing up in the Philippines with her family as missionaries, and she has loved making Mobile and Cottage Hill her home.


Mrs. Susan West is a graduate of The University of South Alabama with a degree in Elementary Education. She has twenty-five years of teaching experience in Mobile County Public Schools and private schools in Mobile. She and her husband, Darrell, have been married for thirty-three years, and they have three grown children – Andrew (married to Taylor), Aaron (married to Hannah), and Katie (CHCA class of 2017). They also have two grandsons, Oliver and Hudson. Mrs. West is passionate about reading and spending time at the beach. She is a member of Downtown Church.
