Familiar Faces In New Places At CHCA
Adam Thomas rejoined the CHCA staff as a technology teacher and assistant cross country and assistant basketball coach for the 2020-2021 academic year. Mr. Thomas earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Business Administration from the University of Mobile. Coach Thomas has been a part of independent school education for 13 years. After working at CHCA in various leadership roles, Coach Thomas and his family moved to Huntsville where he served as the Associate Athletic Director and classroom teacher at Randolph School. In addition to his years coaching, mentoring, and delivering instruction, Coach Thomas also brings a wealth of professional experience working in the business industry with companies like Legacy Group Sports Management and Computer Program Systems. Coach Thomas, his wife Stacey, and their three children have been longtime members of the Cottage Hill family. We are thankful for Coach Thomas's commitment to CHCA, and we are excited to see how the Lord uses him in these new roles!
Mrs. Jill Hannan has now transitioned into the role of Director of Admissions at CHCA. Mrs. Hannan has over 16 years of experience in the field of childhood education. She was born and raised in Beaver Falls, PA and received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Clarion University in 1994. Mrs. Hannan is certified with the American Association of Christian Schools and has been trained in multiple curriculums in both private and public school systems. She believes the key to a child’s learning potential begins with a strong Christ-centered environment, strengthened through clear communication between family, teachers and support staff. Mrs. Hannan recently celebrated 22 years of marriage with her husband Ben during which they have been blessed with three children- Samuel (21), Meg (18) and Maxwell (14).
Mrs. Hannan is a wonderful member of our team who we are excited to have using her gifts to show our community what CHCA is all about!
Mrs. Jennifer Newton is entering her 19th year as a part of the Warrior family. During her tenure at Cottage Hill, Mrs. Newton has served as a teacher, coach, and admissions director. In her new role as west campus director, Mrs. Newton will lead our high school students, faculty, and families. She understands the culture of Cottage Hill and is excited to help propel our high school to even greater heights.
Mrs. Newton attended Pensacola Christian College, where she double-majored in English Education and Physical Education and was a member of the Lady Eagles volleyball team. She and her husband Brad have twin daughters, Emily and Ashlyn (10th grade), who attend Cottage Hill. The Newtons are active members of Cottage Hill Baptist Church.
We are thankful for the many years of service Mrs. Newton has given to CHCA and are excited to see all the Lord will do through her in this new role!
Mr. Tommy Hinton is excited to serve as our new Church Campus Academic Dean. Mr. Hinton has served our Middle School for the last six years as History teacher as well as the last two years as our Middle School Director. Mr. Hinton will continue to provide Middle School direction and guidance while assuming new responsibilities as the Academic Dean. These new areas of responsibility will be specific to school accreditation, curriculum alignment and development, along with an overall focus on campus academics.
Mr. Hinton is excited to continue his service to the Lord through the ministry of CHCA in his new role. Cottage Hill Christian Academy is thankful for his willingness to serve our school body in a new and constructive way!
