Key Club
Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. Key Club International is the high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. Mu Alpha Theta
Here at Cottage Hill Christian Academy, our chapter of Mu Alpha Theta honors 11th and 12th grade students for their achievement in mathematics and seeks to challenge our students to continue their hard work and dedication to math. Students will be required to make all monthly meetings, participate in our one service project each school year, continue to take more advanced math classes than previous years, and will be eligible to compete with our math team.
Students who meet the all of following eligibility requirements should consider applying. This organization is a nationally recognized Math Honor Society that distinguishes students for their achievement and may help the student apply to certain universities.
Students who meet the following eligibility requirements will be considered for induction into our local charter of Mu Alpha Theta:
- Students in the 11th and 12th grade, who have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college preparatory mathematics and in addition have completed or are currently enrolled in a still more advanced course.
- Students must continue to take more advanced math courses from year to year here at Cottage Hill Christian Academy.
- Students completing an overall non-weighted 3.5 grade point average in math are eligible for full membership providing their mathematical work was done with distinction.
- There is a national membership fee of five dollars (to be turned in with application).
- Completion of Mu Alpha Theta Application.

National Honor Society
The Cottage Hill Christian Academy National Honor Society is a duly chartered and affiliated chapter of the prestigious national organization. Membership is open to those students who meet the required standards in four areas of evaluation: SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP, SERVICE, and CHRISTIAN CHARACTER. Standards for selection are established by the national office of NHS and have been revised to meet our local chapter needs. Students are selected to membership by a five-member Faculty Council, appointed by the Principal. Students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better on a weighted scale are eligible for membership. Those students who meet the criterion are invited to complete a student information application form for consideration for membership. Induction of new members is held in January each year.

Robotics
B.E.S.T. Robotics is a yearly competition where schools can have one team which designs
and builds a radio-controlled machine to accomplish defined tasks in a game-type
format. Six weeks before the competition, the teams from around the area gather
for Kick Off Day where they receive identical kits of equipment and raw
materials from which to build their machines, and a detailed set of game rules.
Students who do not want to build the robot can handle publicity, design the
team logo, design T-shirts, or perform other jobs. There is so much to do and
only 6 weeks to do it.

Social Awareness Club
Social awareness is about recognizing the events going on in our area and in the U.S. and doing whatever we can to help out.
We will have a meeting at the end of each month and a fundraiser or volunteer work will occur at some time after each meeting. You do not have to attend every volunteer work, but it would be very good to do what you can.
